Depending upon the size and shape of the tooth, the preparation process for each patient is different. We also have a system in place where direct veneers can be created in just one visit. When you come to your initial consultation at Glenfield Dental, we will discuss both the advantages and disadvantages of each system so that you can make an informed decision about which one to choose.
Before treatment begins we will ask you about your treatment expectations and examine your teeth and gums. If any enamel needs to be removed during the preparation process we will numb the teeth before doing so. Then we will create impressions of the teeth and send them to our excellent dental technician, who will create your veneers. It usually takes around one week for a veneer to be manufactured, during which time we will provide you with temporary veneers.
When you come back for your permanent veneers, we will check that that the veneer fits perfectly over your tooth and make sure you’re happy with the way it looks and feels before bonding it into place using a special adhesive.
